Rig Counts Continue to Dip Across the Industry

Rig counts across various types of operations were down in September, indicating an ongoing softening in the business environments. The rigs engaged in exploration and production were at their lowest level since 2003, while natural gas rig count is down 80 percent from its peak in 2008.
