Private Equity Firm to Invest $500M in Oil & Gas Start-Up

Private equity firm, Warburg Pincus, invested $500 million in startup oil and gas company, Independent Resources Management, at a time when many are shunning these companies due to declining oil prices. There have been few private equity investments in the space this year, but many analysts expect that to increase, the New York Times reports.
