Designed to Withstand Routine Washdowns and Combat Extreme Heat, Corrosion and Abrasion
In harsh environments the ability of wiring devices to perform reliably when exposed to routine washdown and corrosive elements is critical. Wetguard® watertight wiring devices are designed for industrial applications where electrical connections are subjected to wet conditions; such as indoor washdown or exposure to weather.
Leviton’s new Wetguard Stainless Steel 1- and 2-Gang FD Boxes were developed specifically for use with Wetguard FS/FD mount covers, inlets and outlets. Constructed of a rugged 14 gauge, type 304 stainless steel, these boxes provide greater resistance to extreme heat, chemical corrosion, and physical abrasions than inferior metals such as aluminum or iron.
Stainless steel is easily cleanable, making it the first choice for use in food and beverage processing facilities. Our Wetguard stainless steel FD boxes are electrochemically polished, providing an ultra-smooth finish that is even easier to clean and sanitize and making it even more corrosion-resistant. We are also offering a 3/4″ stainless steel hub to use with these boxes.
When mated with Wetguard FS/FD mounted devices, these FD Boxes provide an ingress protection level of IP66, suitable for use in high-pressure washdown areas. They are UL 514A listed for use in wet and damp locations and for marine applications. In addition, the robust features of the Wetguard Stainless Steel FD Boxes make them appropriate for use in a variety of industrial applications, including food and beverage processing facilities, wastewater treatment plants, chemical processing plants, marinas, shipyards and more.
