Economists: Oil and Gas Exports Will Improve the U.S. Economy

Increasing oil and gas exports will boost the American economy and improve the trade deficit, say the majority of economists surveyed by the Associated Press. Those opposed to increasing exports argue that lifting export restrictions will push up the price of electricity and fuel domestically. “The economy in general is better off if we can sell something to someone and bring money into the economy,” said one economist.
