Consumers are some of the biggest winners from the drop in oil prices, The Atlantic writes. But investment in oil exploration and other ventures is drying up along with the returns from higher oil. Some consequences of cheaper energy aren’t negative; countries are eliminating fuel subsidies and abandoning costly projects.
